10 Things Every Mama Needs for Winter

So, I haven’t done a post like this in yonks. I think it’s because I have – after a long time of being pregnant, postpartum, and finding myself again after everything that has happened – only just started to take an interest in myself and the way I feel and the way I look. Plus, this time of year is a tinker for convincing you that you need a few new ‘treats’. Must be those cosy evenings.

All of these things I have been loving recently, mainly for obvious reasons. The fleecy bedding from Next is now a holy grail when it comes to being warm in Winter. It makes getting in bed even more of a luxury when you are a knackered mama. Admittedly it also makes it harder to get out of bed, but beggars can’t be choosers.

The perfume is a spicy/sweet mix that I find really sexy and festive. I’ve switched over to this for a bit, after using Marc Jacobs Daisy all Summer. I quite fancy getting a bottle of Thierry Mugler’s Angel as well at some point – perhaps one for the Christmas list!

The nail polish is basically Christmas in a bottle, and I think I’m allowed to mention the C-word now, so hopefully you don’t hate me for that. It’s so sparkly and festive and the formula is great too, if you’re on a budget.

I am trying not to go on social media too much at the moment. I find it can be bad for me sometimes. So I’ve been stocking up on books – perfect for under a blanket, on the sofa, I think. I love Cecelia Ahern’s books, so Lyrebird had to be mine when I spotted it. Thank goodness for Mark and Amazon Prime. The mug I shouted about in a recent Christmas Haul over on my YouTube channel (would love it if you subscribed), as are the slipper boots.

The bobble hat is a thing of beauty – especially because Bill and Daisy both have matching-but-not-matching ones too. I don’t know if everyone on the school run thinks they are as cool as I do, but I absolutely love seeing our reflections in shop windows as we walk along. A woolly, cosy, turtleneck jumper is an essential and does a great job of making my chin look more contoured (always a winner). And those two lipsticks are favourites for when it gets a bit cooler. I love a vampy lip more than a red at this time of year I think!
