So, I am 35 weeks pregnant today. That’s huge! And I am feeling so much more prepared than I expected to by this point. I have pretty much everything that this baby girl needs to live, and for me, that’s amazing. I know that I could go into labour now, at any time, particularly once 37 weeks hits, and I know I will manage.
That said. I’m also a mum who is a serious magpie and can’t help herself. And so I still have a tiny list on the go. But to be honest, some of these things I can either live without, or I can buy at a later date, or I can admit to having already purchased this week…
The Safari Print Dress is from Next and matches Bill’s bedding. So I’d really like to get this to make him smile. I know he’ll be over the moon that his little sister matches his bedroom, and that she ‘likes animals’ too. The only issue is that I can’t decide on a size yet. The romper is from the latest Mamas & Papas Fifi Lapin range and it just kills me with cuteness – that’s the reason it’s there.
Toy-wise, she doesn’t have much that is new for her. I have some baby toys in the garage that I definitely need to dig-out and clean, but I’d like to get her a few bits for her. Like the Sophie La Giraffe Teething Ring, and this Babyplay Activity Spiral, which I think will match her travel system nicely. The Yellow Milk Bottle Rattle is from The Milk Collective and I’ve already ordered that this week. She has a yellow, grey and white themed nursery and, well, I like banana milkshake so…
The Patternology Chevron Blanket from Mamas & Papas is something I’ve already purchased but it won’t arrive until May, which is a bit frustrating. I think it will go really well in her nursery and I love the Mamas & Papas blankets – I already have the Gingerbread one too.
I’d love to get a proper support so I can bath both children together as she gets a bit older. I do have baby bath, which I will use for the first bath as it was Bill’s and I’m a sucker for tradition, but I’d like something that is more useful for a mum who has to keep her eye on two little ones – and I have my eye on the Angelcare Soft-touch Bath Support. Plus, I think Bill would LOVE to have his sister in the bath with him. She’ll hate it as she’ll get splashed and covered with bath toys, but she probably needs to get used to that!
And finally, everyone raves about them so I’d love some of the Aden & Anais swaddle blankets. I’m addicted to muslins and swaddles this time around and I want to experience these for myself. Even if they are pretty pricey!
