So, I haven’t done one of these in ages, so I’m back with not one, but two grocery shops and meal plans. One was for last week, and one is for the week ahead.
I’m trying to save us money at the moment, and stick to only £50-£60 shops, and we seem to be doing well. We have so much to sort in this house still (I’m a broken record right?) and we need to stock up on baby girl items too, as well as save for maternity, so every little helps at this stage!
The meal plans
Sunday – Homemade shepherd’s pie and cauliflower cheese, with bread and butter pudding for dessert.
Monday – Southern fried chicken, baked potatoes and salad.
Tuesday – We had nibbles as we went to our village Christmas fair.
Wednesday – Slow cooker pulled pork, rolls, sweet potatoes fries and sweetcorn.
Thursday – Bacon and mushroom risotto with garlic bread.
Friday – A curry takeaway.
Saturday – We went to visit Mark’s mum and then see my dad in a show so we had a quick chippy tea as we were so rushed for time!
Sunday – Homemade shepherd’s pie and cauliflower cheese – froze an extra pie so I could save money and save stress too! We’re having rice pudding for dessert too!
Monday – Mediterranean meatballs and couscous.
Tuesday – Spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread.
Wednesday – Rosemary and tomato cod, new potatoes and peas (I’ll be having chicken though).
Thursday – Fresh pasta and garlic bread.
Friday – Pizza and salad.
Chicken Teryaki, stir-fried veg and noodles.
