Winter Maternity Fashion Wish Lyst

Because of how much money we’re trying to save for my maternity leave, as well as paying the final bits towards the house, and things for this baby girl, I have completely forgotten how to treat myself. I didn’t buy things for myself all the time, but I haven’t bought any new clothes in quite a while. I’ve just not felt inspired to dress my growing bump yet, and I also have been putting my wants last, because there’s so much more that I need to prioritise.
I am now sporting a proper bump. At least by my standards. And this is making me more excited to find nice outfits to wear that will make me feel more confident. I don’t know about you, but until your bump is visible, you go through that awkward chubby stage, which can make you feel a little…bleurgh.
My maternity style doesn’t differ too much from my non-pregnant style. I always like to wear skinny jeans, boots and jumpers, I’d just probably wear heeled boots normally, as I like how they lengthen my legs, but they just aren’t safe when you’re rushing around for a train. I like comfort at this time of year too, so I will always gravitate towards unusual but comfy jumpers for warmth, regardless as to whether I’m growing a human or not!
My biggest tip for maternity wear is to try and pick non-maternity clothes that have some stretch, or are a baggy fit – that way you are investing in pieces that you can wear over and over again, rather than for a few months of your pregnancy. One item I definitely recommend though, are some maternity jeans. I love the Toyshop ones. As they really are needed. But tops, I think, you can get away with if you shop carefully!
I made this wish list in my pyjamas on Sunday morning. And it’s made me want to add it all to my basket and pay. I made it using Lyst, which is a site where you can view fashion from a huge range of brands – some I’ve never discovered until now – and it tailors your experience, much like a personal shopper, showing you things you’ll like and things from your favourite brands or designers. I find this a relief when I’m looking for things in my style, and don’t want to trawl through lots of items. I’ve also discovered a new brand called Essential, where two of the jumpers are from, and I love the style.
If you’re pregnant, what sort of things do you like to wear at this time of year? Any recommendations?

Love the cape and rucksack especially, plus I think uggs are a definite winter staple. Am 29weeks and have found some fabulous jumpers in primark, which work so well X

I'm wearing skinny jeans and jumpers ( like yourself – great minds 😉 ), a dungaree dress from Zara and whilst bump is still quite small I can get away with floaty smock dresses and tights.
I'm really disappointed with my Topshop jeans, I got the black Joni under bumps and they faded so quickly. Picked up some supersoft H&M over bumps and they're like heaven!
