Write Like EVERYONE’s Watching?

I’m not really sure how to start this post for fear of it turning into some sort of self-centred acceptance speech but…

“I’d like to thank my Mum, my Dad, my brother, my boyfriend, my dog Max, my amazing friend Eve (she totally put me up to this)….”

Nah, only joking. But I do have to say thank you to Fleur for posting one of my rambles on her insanely famous blog (Fleur De Force) and of course thank you all for reading.

I started out this blog because I can’t really control myself. I’m like the Cookie Monster of the writing world, you show me a keyboard or a pen and I’m on it like a tramp on chips. I’m TRYING to write a book, but life keeps getting in the way, much to my mother’s annoyance. (She messaged me today asking me to write her a book for Christmas. No pressure Mum. I’ll just whip one out on my lunch break.)

By day, I’m the Group Editor of the most fantastic B2B publishing house. I love my job, but sometimes a girl needs a little outlet for the little things in life and I’m not entirely sure that my period-related, personal trainer-obsessed, frankly insane posts would do the trick with those who see me as a mature journalist. Yes, that would be a bit of a fail wouldn’t it.

The title of this blog seemed pretty apt. I was writing like no one was watching, because I had a small handful of readers (from what my stats showed) and the only subscriber I had was my little brother and I’m not even sure he reads this to be honest.

But today! Crikey! I have followers. People that actually like my writing. That’s…well, that’s bloody brilliant.

Anyway, this is just a quick thank you note for putting a HUGE smile on my face. I really hope you like the blog and if you have any suggestions, let me know.

Next time I write, I know that SOMEONE will be watching, and that, my friends, is pretty amazing.

This was the comment I tried to post on your Guest blog on Fleur's page but for some reason it wouldn't let me!…

This is one of the most refreshing blog posts I've read in a really long time. You have a wonderful senes of humour…definately one to read when you're feeling a bit naff, made me proper chuckle.

And FYI. You're so not alone in this…I'm exactly the same. (We should motivate each other).

    Hello Kerry!

Thank you so much! I'm SO glad you like it. I keep squealing when someone comments and I really should try and calm down.

You should always call on me for a bit of motivation! I'd love it! I'm on Twitter – @CharlTaylor and ALWAYS on here. Squealing. As you do. 🙂 x

    Thanks Charlotte,

Squealing is good, if you hid your excitement then that would just be rather dull! I am now stalking you on twitter. It is your duty to motivate me to go to the gym, I shall return the favour if it's required 🙂 x x x

It is apparent that the writer is a data geek.
I like the way he writes and organizes facts.
It is always such a joy to read articles made by
    real professionals, like I am
fed up with that no-name, ghostwritten articles. That is why
it was so nice to have a look at a persuasive piece.
I see the author has floor knowledge it the topic in addition to some practical experience.
Such kind of information is always more valuable than copypasted blog posts
