Brown paper packages tied up with string...

The best gift of Christmas is giving. I adore buying presents for my loved ones. I think long and hard over my selections and I try and make everything just right. I particularly love the therapeutic bliss of wrapping gifts, while a festive scented candle burns, my baby sleeps peaceful dreams in his cot and my cheeks are flushed red from too much mulled wine.

Last year, I embraced the royal reds and shimmering golds - yes I have a wrapping colour scheme - but this year I wanted to channel Father Christmas' workshop and elves and magic. Perhaps it's the mother in me?

My little Christmas wrapping kit this year is a mixture of your average brown paper and an M&S set, which includes three rolls of paper, some twine and ribbon, some tags and some cute little stickers for £6.00. I also picked up the printed, brown card tags from my local Poundland at the obvious cost of £1.00 for 20. I actually prefer these to the white ones in the M&S set!

I also love these wonderful tags designed by Oana Befort on her blog. She even links to them so you can print them off and use them yourself for free. Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration for me. I'm just getting started but you can find me by searching for 'charltaylor.'

I can't wait to see them all piled up under the tree. Whenever we put it up!

  1. I saw those tags in a magazine but they didn't have them in our local poundland. Love your choice of paper, I always have a colour scheme too but them I end up running out and it all gets a bit higgledy piggledy. xx
